Optimizing Movement

When working with clients 1on1

my primary objective is to ensure that each movement

is carried out with proper movement mechanics.

This means identifying any compensations and giving the client detailed instructions on how to correct the movement in order to prevent overuse injuries and promote optimal muscle health.

When I first started lifting, I had such poor posture, that I couldn't sense what good form felt like. It was difficult for me to understand how people just picked up weights and started lifting them properly without instruction.

I strive to pay attention to every detail of form and make you aware of all of the small things that will make the big differences.

Building your physique is just like building a house in that, starting with a poor foundation is bound to end in disaster at some point.

I take my clients through a series of foundational movements in our first few weeks together to ensure they are building from the ground up, rather than picking out the nice windows (focusing on their biceps) or what color paint they want (focusing on their abs) in order to set them up for success in the future.

Corrective Exercise

What is Corrective Exercise?

Corrective exercise is a targeted approach to improving movement quality, reducing muscle imbalances, and enhancing overall function. It involves assessing movement patterns and addressing weaknesses, tightness, or compensations that may be limiting performance or contributing to discomfort.

Rather than just focusing on fitness goals like strength or endurance, corrective exercise ensures your body moves efficiently and without unnecessary strain. This can be particularly beneficial for:

✅ Poor posture and muscle imbalances

✅ Limited mobility and flexibility

✅ Chronic tightness or recurring discomfort

✅ Injury prevention and rehabilitation support

✅ Enhancing performance in workouts and daily activities

My Approach

TESTIMONIALS

Jason is very hands on making sure my technique is always sound and that the correct muscle group is being worked. He demonstrates how to do each exercise exactly how it should be done. The routines are always varied, challenging, and interesting. He is also very good at tailoring exercises for various injuries one may have. He knows a lot about proper nutrition. Overall, Jason is an excellent fitness instructor!

Dermatologist

I worked alongside Jason for a short time at a place where we stretched clients. I had an injury during that time, and Jason was key in helping me not only treat it in the short term, but analyze the root cause. Jason put me on the path to treatment and recovery. As a body worker myself, I can’t say enough good things about how I have seen Jason work. He listens to and respects his clients and their needs. He approaches every person with empathy, and every session with determination. He can analyze your current state of wellbeing, while offering solutions that work for you and your lifestyle. Jason is constantly learning and seeking to improve his own understanding of the human experience, for his own benefit and that of his clients. I highly recommend Jason!

Licensed Massage Therapist

I am 79 years old and have been working with Jason for approximately the last two months. Jason is very knowledgeable, he takes the time to explain things in layman's terms, and tailors the exercises to my needs. Jason has greatly helped with my mobility, and I would highly recommend him.

John Finster

Retired Engineer

I came to Jason for better mobility and strength, after retiring from the military, I had limited movement in my shoulders and arthritis in both knees. The answer for quite some time was medication to treat the inflammation and pain. I'm happy to say that at 45, 1 am moving better than I did at 35! It truly has helped my life for the better and given me more confidence to get back out there and do what I used to love to do when I was younger.
